Mission Emanuel

The Mission Statement for Emanuel Church of Baraboo is “Connecting People to Jesus.”

The teachings of Jesus include serving those less fortunate than we, comforting the sick, feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and caring for those in need. MISSION EMANUEL is the “umbrella” where all mission activities of Emanuel Church are housed and from where Jesus’ followers are equipped to do His work as the Body of Christ.

Here are some of the ongoing mission projects and opportunities at Emanuel Church:

Beyond Blessed Food Pantry

Emanuel Church is a partner with Beyond Blessed Food Pantry serving more than 700 families
every week, all year long, in Sauk County and the surrounding communities.

Fair on the Square

Emanuel joins the City of Baraboo each spring as the community celebrates the art and craft community of our area supporting the Baraboo community.

Hope House

Emanuel supports Hope House here in Baraboo, offering sanctuary for women and children looking for a safe haven in the midst of domestic violence.

Prayer Ministry

Emanuel’s prayer ministry has two “prayer teams” that meet regularly to pray for individuals, the church, our community, nation, and a broken world. Emanuels motto on prayer— “No prayer—No power, Little prayer—little power, but Much prayer—much power.”.

Community Dinner

Emanuel prepares and serves a monthly Community Dinner on the 3rd Monday of each month. Everyone is invited to come eat, visit, and to be in fellowship with each other, no matter your circumstances, faith tradition, or personal situation.

Quilting

The power of receiving Jesus’ love and grace through physical comfort is manifest in Emanuel’s Quilting ministry. These dedicated folks hand make quilts that are blessed during our worship services and provided to shut ins, nursing home residents, hospital patients, newly baptized infants, and anyone needing to feel the warmth of Jesus’ love.

Visitation Teams

Whether incapacitated by illness or accident, or the infirmities of age, Emanuel’s Visitation Team ensures that these faithful are not forgotten by their church family.

Red Bird Mission

Emanuel supports Red Bird Mission in Kentucky— serving those in need in Appalachia, by sending adult and youth workers to build and repair, provide donations of clothing and household items, and share the love of Jesus.

Emanuel is a partner with the Baraboo location of St Vincent DePaul mission, serving the less fortunate and those in crisis.
